Bye Bye Formula!

I hope the can of formula I bought today is the last can.

Addy has been down to maaaaybe 2 sippy cups of formula a day and only takes a bottle if we’re out of the house.  If I give her 6 ounces she barely finishes them before she’s trying to get to whatever the main course of the meal is.  Like “this is nice but give me some of that organic turkey pouch” or “I’m only drinking this until you’re done putting together that shredded turkey and mac and cheese for me”. So with this can, we should see the end of February and then after the doctor gives me instructions on the milk giving process we’ll swap on over.

Feeding a baby has got to be the most uncertain thing about the whole baby raising process so far.  I suppose because she can’t talk and I don’t know if she’s even hungry half the time when I go to make the bottle.  We’ve been working on saying “all done” to signify when things are over with and so she doesn’t throw a fit about the food being gone (granted, if she’s really mad I make her more food).  This mostly pertains to when she is clawing at whatever is on my plate.  Like how dare you eat all your food mommy!

So fingers crossed the upcoming formula to milk transition works.  A year of buying formula done with!  WOOO!

Also, I bought a Smashbook.  It was so hard to pick between Retro, Mod, and Simple.  Guess which I got. I also got a few pockets, a rubber stamp, and…some other stuff I can’t recall right now cause it’s in the car.  I’m counting it as my formula comeuppance.  NO COMMUPPANCE (yet another Simpson’s reference from an episode I can’t exactly all the way remember, but I’m sure it involves fist shaking).  Remember when I was all “oh maybe I kinda want to half assy be crafty?”  Well this will be it.  And then I read Rebecca’s post on how she successfully Smashbook’d (although I doubt she’s a crafty mofo) AND THEN Michael’s had all the stuff 20% off.  Sooooo I will now be using “smashbooking” as a verb for when I go at it.  Woo!

(it’s Mod. Retro was a very close second, but Mod was black spined, and Retro was a powder blue…)
