Since we’ve been knee-deep in the NBA Playoffs, I thought I hadn’t been watching a lot of things until I sat down to make my list and oopsie. So what I’m gonna do is just hit the high and low lights and call it a post.
Highlights
- Jury Duty S1 (Freevee) – Ronald agrees to be in a documentary about jury duty except he is the only person that is not an actor. HILARITY ensues.
- Dungeons & Dragons (2023) – you don’t need to know anything about D&D just know it’s the Best Chris and a genuinely fun adventuretime.
- Couples Therapy S1-S3 (Showtime) – holy balls y’all. It’s actual footage from couples therapy. It was a podcast and it’s a show. Absolutely enthralling television.
- Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (2023) – fantastic end to the trilogy. Best Marvel stuff since…Black Panther 2. (since Endgame if we keeping it a buck)
- Succession S4 (HBO) – My God. Did it end how I envisioned? No. Was I pleased? No. Was it perfect? Absolutely yes. I will be starting the series over.
- The Ultimatum: Queer Edition (Netflix) – DRAMAAAAAAAAAAAAA
- Justified S1 (Hulu) – we decided that our summer show will be Justified and Timothy Olyphant is beautiful and this show is nice and simple good stuff.
- Romantic Comedy – Curtis Sittenfeld. A comedy writer falls for a famous singer but they’re 39 so it’s not as clumsy as most contemporary romances.
- What Happened to Ruthy Ramirez – Claire Jimenez.
- The House in the Cerulean Sea – T.J. Klune. Magic realism just like I love it.
Lowlights
- Love Is Blind S4 finale. Netflix totally bungled the live finale but it was also trash.
- Tiny Beautiful Things (Hulu). I watched the first episode and had absolutely no desire to continue.
- Nightcrawling – Leila Mottley. Did Not Finish at like 60 pages. The thing is I read the blurb and still wasn’t ready for how dark it was gonna get.
- Savvy Sheldon Feels Good as Hell – Taj McCoy. Jesus be an editor. It wasn’t spelling errors. It just was too much uselessness.

- Creed 3 (2022)
- Super Marios Bros (2023)
- The Other Two S3 – HBOwhatever they want to call themselves now
- Godzilla (2014) & Godzilla King of the Monsters (2019). Addy insisted we complete the monster universe to prep for the new Kong/Godzilla flick to come.
- Pineapple Street – Jenny Jackson.

- Secret Invasion S1 (Disney+) 6/21
- I’m A Virgo S1 (Prime Video) 6/21
