Us. Watching Ninja Turtles. So basically any day of the week.
Addy: Raph say “Shutup Donnie.”
Me: Ok but don’t say shutup.
Addy: I didn’t say shutup. Raph said shutup.
Me: You’re saying shutup by saying “Raph said shutup.”
Addy: No. Raph said shutup to Donnie. I not saying shutup. I say Raph said “Shutup Donnie.”
Me: Shutup.
Abandonment Issues
Scene: Saturday night after the aquarium someone (Addy) was fighting sleep while someone (me) was dozing off
Addy: Mommy. You left me. You and Daddy left me.
Me: Dude. We took you to the aquarium today. We didn’t leave you.
Addy: You left me and you have to take me now.
Me: Take you where? Where did we leave you?
Addy: When you went to Mexico. You have to take me to Mexico.
I Brought This On Myself
Scene: Addy in the tub.
Me: {mockingly} My name is Addy. I’m three. I go to school and my daddy drops me off and my mommy picks me up.
Addy: {same tone} My name is Mommy. I take a nap.
