I’ve been pretty much having an awful time finding new music on the radio since my adult alternative station up and left me. Occasionally I scan the channels hoping to come across anything remotely close to it. So I was quite pleased to find this gem on regular ol Mix 96.5 the other day. I promptly came home and looked up the music on stupid iTunes and just downloaded the EP cause there was no chance of me getting this disc anywhere.
Anyway listen to Lordes, no thanks to Bella for knowing about this song and not telling me. So now I’m telling y’all and you can all collectively boo Bella with me. And if anyone has known about this song for more than a week and not told me then boo yourself. This is like a perfect mix of Kimbra and Paloma Faith !

I’m reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I had avoided John Green because I kept seeing it was about teenagers and I really don’t care to read about teens. And it’s like a big deal on the twittah so I was worried it would be like Nicholas Sparks who I don’t read and refuse to watch movies of his books. Not because I’ve heard bad things but because I have hipster tendencies. Plus someone took this picture
and said the books should just be called “white people almost kissing”
How can I take that seriously?!
Anyway Tara and Katie were all “yes Bre read this!” and I saw some tweets about the movie being in production so now I can be like “yeah I totally read that before it was a movie”.
Sooo now I’m halfway in it and incredibly nervous about how the book will end. I mean it’s about two teenagers with cancer. And two books ago I read “One Last Thing Before I Go” by Jonathan Tropper that was about a dude with a heart condition. I was seriously just going to put the book in the freezer. But I feel like these characters are stuck mid sentence until I turn the kindle back on and start reading again.

The crudely circled and highlighted image shows that this comes out Sept 30. I’ve known about this for like 2 days now so my excitement is contained… some. I was scared to upgrade because it’s a touchscreen and I will have to give up my keyboard 3rd gen Kindle but I mean I did used to have a Blackberry so ya know. PLUS it comes integrated with Goodreads!!!

I just read your post about 103.7 and giggled about hell points and I did the same thing. The flip happened on July 17th. I know this because I was going to buy Andrew birthday cupcakes and then I had to go home and tell him that the only radio station he could tolerate was no more. It's hard to live in a world where you aren't obsessed with Katy Perry.
