Guess what.  I didn’t do a post and nobody was like “Bre, what’s Addy been up to this month, you missed the post”, which makes y’all slacker blog readers.  For shame on y’all.

Here’s a pic collage for 2y4m.

Anyway, so the past two months have been full of sass.  So so sassy.

Apparently we are raising a kid that has moved away from home already and refers to us as simply “Mom” and “Dad”.  Not Mommy or Momma.  Just Mom and Dad.  I don’t know where this came from.  It’s not 100% of the time but like 75%. Like “Dad can I have apple juice?”  So yeah I don’t know what that’s about.

We’ve also been up to our tutu’s in Disney Princesses.  I mean just so so many princesses.  We had been binge watching Wreck-It Ralph since 4th of July weekend.  Fortunately it’s just been on the iPad but you hear it.  And it sinks into your brain.  But poor Addy just started dancing her little butt off when it got to the credits and the music started.  Disney movies just do not have big songs anymore.  I kinda blame Toy Story for taking the turn.  Way to go Waaaandy Newman.

So I opted to introduce Addy to the world of the sing along movie.  I bought her Beauty and the Beast for Valentine’s Day last year but she wasn’t that interested in it then.  When I put it on last week she was very much into it.  She’s learned all the princesses through osmosis or toddler finishing school or whatever.  ALL of them.  I go “hey, watch this Belle movie”.  I put it on.  Belle starts singing.  I start singing.  Addy’s into the movie.  I’m all “there’s must be more than this provencial life” and Addy turns around and goes “mom, stop singing”.

We watched it for 7 days in a row.  Then YaYa ordered The Little Mermaid.  Addy has an Ariel Lego set and everything.  By the second day she was humming along to Under the Sea.  She’s been sleeping in her Cinderella costume.  Brownlee got her some Bell doll with clip on dresses.  She got some princeses for the tub.

So yeah.

And the proper, on time month post.

  1. She is too cute for words! I just can't handle it. Kennedy is starting to notice princesses but isn't really into them yet. I'm sure that's very soon!!
