The Interview

I met with the temp agency lady. She was nice and sweet and bubbly and I was all of those things back.  Being with the temp people is always easy peasy because once you sell them on yourself they do their best to sell you.  The company is small and does production and I told her that small would be better.  She really wants to get me placed in the position but I told her I was being open and optimistic so let’s hope that’s the way it stays.  Open and Optimistic.  Very Keep Calm & Carry On.

But the weird thing about interviews is that you never know if you can do the job until you get into it.  And not the first day or week.  It takes a good while to know if you can learn the system and work with people or even set up your voicemail.  I think I’m easily adaptable and told her that was one of my strengths.  I’m all for the greater good (THE GREATER GOOD) of the group instead of trying to outshine people.  I’ve always been that way.  Maybe cause I’m a libra? I have no idea what that means, but people say things like that to me a lot.

What are your 3 best strengths?  How hard is it to brag on yourself?  Who admits weaknesses?

If she asked me one I would have been like “i cry at movies” not “oh i care too much and that makes it hard for me to leave the office”.

  1. THE GREATER GOOD! I've been at my current job 2yrs and 2mos and I still haven't set up a voicemail. Lol

Strengths – easy & effective communicator, quite accustomed to whipping up new templates to facilitate a process.

I can brag on myself in my head, but being that my mother called me arrogant in like 7th grade, I'm now hesitant to be THAT guy (girl). So it's a difficult line to toe, selling yourself as the smartest person in the room and being humble.

    Weaknesses – hmmmm…. Stubborn? That could be a plus or a minus…
