The first of the last episodes of Mad Men came on Sunday night. I made the mistake of telling Addy to leave me alone because I had to watch “mommy’s show” and she was disappointed when she saw office workers on the screen and not the Johnson family from Black-ish.
So of course I will be re-watching it to catch all the ins and outs and mostly drool over Donald Draper and decide whether or not I like Roger’s 70stache.
(I love everything Roger does)
I’m not here to review the episodes (go to Tom & Lorenzo for that), or speculate what’s going to happen. I’m just getting so sad about it.
Sad like how I was when Six Feet Under ended except I don’t think I had a blog then. Every so often you get this great show and then TV takes it from you. And you’re left with comparing everything else to it for the end of time. Well until at least the next decent show comes along.
I gave up on Togetherness on HBO. But there’s a Happy-ish show that I *might* watch on Showtime. We’re watching a show on Netflix that I don’t care to discuss because people will just up and spoil things. And while it is entertaining I don’t think it’s to the level that the internet hails it to be because 1) Six Feet Under already happened.
THERE IS NO NUMBER TWO.
Anyway, I’m worried about Don. It’s hard because he ain’t never been about shit and he doesn’t even really try to be but still. It’s Don. And I only got 6 episodes left and ugh.
Expect another ramble in 6-8 weeks when I contemplate how to fill the void.
OH and Jon Hamm is on this month’s GQ and he’s no Don Draper but the pictures are nice.
I've never watched Mad Men but it's definitely on our list! (And yes, we do actually have a list.)
