3 years and stuff

So I’m overdue for a catch up. No worries.

We’re good on the potty training.  Still just trying to figure out how to tackle the night time training.  I guess a drink time cut off??  Just…how has anyone done this ever?

She’s also pretty smart assy.  Surprise surprise.  If she drops something and doesn’t want to get in trouble, she yells

IT DOESN’T ME

And who can correct that?  And in more self-expression, she will often tell us

I FRUSTRATED

I assume someone at school asked her if she was frustrated after an exaggerated sigh one day, and she just took it and rolled with it.  She’s frustrated often.

She’s super independent and extremely tall. Dressing in the mornings is more difficult than ever.  She still insists on dresses, and if there are pants involved, still pink.  Which was hard those few days that it was cold.  I got some tights but I really don’t even know how to work those well.  I don’t think I’ve ever owned a pair.

We went to the pumpkin patch.  Halloween was very uneventful because she wasn’t feeling well and literally went to 3 houses in Yaya’s neighborhood before she turned around and went back home.  She liked passing out candy so that was enough.

20141031-IMG_2646.  There has been A LOT of talk around here for Christmas.  We watch tons of Nickelodeon, not Nick Jr, so they show like 1000 commercials per hour.  Most of it is  “as shown on TV” items.  Like that cup holds snacks and stuff.  Either way, she “needs” or “loves” all of it and tells us that she “really needs to have that for Christmas.”

We’ll probably get the tree next weekend and I’ll make sure she has some ornaments and we decorate properly and all that jazz.  We’re (I’m) looking forward to Zoo Lights and probably going down to the Galleria for ice “skaping” around the big Christmas tree.  I think. The mall 10 minutes away has an ice skating rink. Yay big city life!

  1. ahhh potty training! I don't miss it!
We cut off fluids after a certain time. We tried just underwear, he regressed. then we went back to pull ups until one day he told me that pull ups were for babies and he didn't need them anymore. *shrugs*. He's been dry with an occasional accident ever since.
