Okay so let’s just get into it.
Watching
Beyond The Gates – CBS has a new Black-centric Soap Opera. It is extremely my jam.
Paradise S1 (Hulu) – If you haven’t watched by now what are you waiting for? ABC will be giving it the network treatment soon because so many people loved it. S2 is already in production.
Severance S2 – I watched E1 and E2 and then was like I have forgotten so much because who makes you wait 3 years for the next season? So then I rewatched S1 and fell in love all over again and S2 was amazing. AMAZING.
Blink Twice (2024) – I knew this was going to be a thriller, Jordan Peele type thing and it was. Do I recommend it? It’s not for the sensitive but I was *very* into it and surely it says something about me as a person but I did enjoy it.
With Love, Meghan S1 (Netflix) – Meghan, Duchess of Sussex goes full Martha Stewart and it is the best thing ever. Give me 100 episodes right now.
White Lotus S3 (HBO) is about to end so we’ll see how it goes when the crime goes down. I am actively in the middle of Mythic Quest – S4. We are watching Grosse Pointe Garden Society – a quant little murder mystery reminiscent of Desperate Housewives on NBC. Except it’s on Sunday night and they are moving it to Friday night so like…death knoll. We also just started Mobland on Paramount+ cause Guy Ritchie is involved and well it’s Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren into some gangsta shit.
Other stuff that I will mention but isn’t a highlight was: Black Doves S1 (Netflix), Shrinking S2 (Apple), Conclave (2024), Challengers (2024), Cross S1 (Prime), Wags to Riches – ASS (Netflix), The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (Bravo), A Real Pain (2024), Love is Blind – ASS (Netflix), A Mother’s Instinct (2024), Temptation Island (Netflix), Adolescence (Netflix – yes good but not a highlight).
Reading
Look, all that I’m going to tell you is to go and buy Death of the Author by Nnedi Okarafor. I’m not kidding. Buy it and read it.

I can’t even think if there was a best thing on the internet but I did live stream Cory Booker break the record for longest filibuster on Senate floor so that was something. I
And I wrote a rough rough draft of a work in progress. It was an actual Q1 goal. I had to push through cause it was one of those “you can’t fix what isn’t written” things. I am not promising anything will come from it so don’t ask.
