I’m actually watching John Oliver now. HBO is really trying to let you know that there are new shows coming and you don’t have to quit them just because Game of Thrones is over. I’m looking forward to Mrs. Fletcher, Euphoria, The Righteous Gemstones, and S2 of Big Little Lies.

Veep S4. This season might have been a slump for them?? I’ll have to check and see what year they didn’t win an Emmy for Best Comedy.

Megan Thee Stallion. I like that Megan is a Houston girl and I understand all the slang she uses even though she’s like 12 (24 per Wikipedia).
The Tuxedo Way. Mayer Hawthorne’s duet came out with a new single and I really like it.
Larry Wilmore’s Black on the Air Podcast was really good with Michael Lewis, the guy that wrote Moneyball and The Big Short, discussing why we need referees. Not just in sports, but in life. Anyway he has a podcast series on the subject, Against the Rules, that I’m going to check out this week.

Three friends and I got together and rented and AirBnB for a writer’s weekend. I mean it was mostly just us drinking and talking about Martin episodes but we also wrote for a bit and it was good that we could all sit in the same place but also everyone had their own space and wrote there for a while as well. I’m still working on my 2018 Nanowrimo.

For Mother’s Day, we went to Houston Museum of National Science because they had this new Moon exhibit. Holy balls it was amazing. Yes that’s how we Mother’s Day’d.
I tried soooo hard to like Meg’s album, but I didn’t like it. It’s all repetitive and I was just hoping for so much more. I’m still a fan and maybe I’ll give it a few more listens. But at least there’s room for growth and I’m still looking forward to what she puts out in the years to come.
Big Little Lies can’t make it here fast enough! LOL!
