Experienced.
Homecoming (2019). We sat and watched Beyonce’s live concert/documentary of her 2018 Coachella performance on Netflix. I don’t have the capacity to write a (nor the patience to read any) thinkpiece on the film but it should be experienced. We also have been listening to the live album on Spotify.
Watched.
Brené Brown – The Call To Courage (2019) – Brené has a special on Netflix where she gives a talk about how there is no courage without vulnerability. It’s longer than her Ted Talk and shorter than her books but it’s the same type of Brené content. It’s 1:15 run time. Watch with a notebook handy.
Read.
White Elephant by Julie Langsdorf. I finished this audiobook. It was not good. It’s a book where the newcomers to the town mess up their sleepy dispositions but I thought it would be funnier. Goodreads describes it as “uproarious” but I didn’t even chuckle once. All the characters are dicks. I thought it would be more like The Arrangement but it wasn’t.
Tested.
I learned about the Enneagram test and found out I am a 5wing4. (Myers-Briggs I am an INFJ). And then a friend directed me to this hilarious IG account about Enneagrams.
Enjoyed.
Donald Glover (yes again this week) has a new ABC* shoe out with Adidas. And to promote said shoe, he’s done a series of short commercials with Mo’Nique. I can’t see there actually being a script for this, I feel like Mo’Nique just roasted his ass for hours in these settings and they cut it down to 60 second bites for social media. Watch the 5 minutes (the rest is credits)
*ABC as in Already Been Chewed (like when you were 8 and wanted to play a prank on someone and ask if they wanted some ABC Gum. Fun Fact: I also use this phrase when I re-wear jeans. So basically every other day.
Also obviously I’m getting some of these ABC ass shoes.
You inspired me to take the Enneagram (despite having quit personality tests last year). It won’t surprise you that I’m a 4wing5. Lol. #October9Gang
