Whew.

I don’t have a lot to say about parenting right now. Cause what is there to say about disciplining yourself out of your child? Addy’s always been a whole person, but now she’s got a bigger vocabulary and quicker wit.

She’s certified herself as a BigKid® and we’re upgrading her bed to a loft set with a desk underneath. Like either of us will be at a desk when we get our doodle on. But we like the setup.

I’m pushing chapter books on her but she’s leaning more towards drawing. That’s fine but we still gonna get Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing read.

This year’s birthday party was the biggest yet because there were weekend friends, school friends, daycare friends, and cousins invited. It’s cool that you can keep up with people because of texting and email. So it’s pretty difficult to lose touch with a friend from anywhere when you’re 8. We’ll see if more chores get implemented. I’m angling towards more responsibilities given but clearly not really going to force it.
