#WTFour Christmas Edition.
Addy asked Santa Claus (she gets highly upset when I say Sandy Claws) for Elsa & Anna stuff. So basically MORE Frozen stuff in the house. And I went through the effort of doing Santa handwriting and using different wrapping paper and everything. But it was one of those things that didn’t matter.
We went to Magical Winter Lights on the 22nd and then I drove them through River Oaks on the 23rd so by the 24th whenever we drove by houses with nice lights she “playing a game” and too “busy” to look up from the backseat. So when she woke up at 7am Christmas morning and just made her usual request to watch Transformers: Rescue Bots, the lack of enthusiasm was kinda expected.
When we finally made it to the living room, she saw the Elsa & Anna pillows so then she was in the mood to open gifts and “help” Brownlee and I open our gifts.
You might have noticed that Addy spent most of the morning with an eye mask on the top of her head. This is her new thing. She got new Frozen jammies and for whatever reason they came with an eye mask. And despite her sleeping with the closet light, window lights, a lava lamp, and 4 headboard lights, she insist on wearing it to sleep.
Addy: Mom. You and Dad? Y’all need to get one of these. (she says “y’all” now and I love it)
Me: Oh yeah?
Addy: Wait. Are you scared of the dark.
Me: Um no.
Addy: Is Daddy scared of the dark?
Me: A little bit.
Addy: Well. Y’all need to get one.
And then she got a Frozen sleeping bag for Christmas. If you don’t spend a lot of time watching Disney Jr or Nickelodeon, there’s a commercial for a Zippy Sack. Basically it’s a blanket with a zipper so you never have to make up your bed. Well Addy thinks the sleeping bag is a Zippy Sack except she hauls it up and down the hallway to lay on the couch or lay on our bed or whatever.
So bedtime looks like this:
So I guess I need a sleep mask/bag.
Where did you get the PJ masks shirt? My kids would love that!
