Good news this Wordless Wednesday. I got a new camera. I’ve been lusting after a Canon 6D for….months??? I’m not sure but I couldn’t even buy a new purse during wedding prep so I couldn’t get a camera. Then we had the wedding and I ordered the camera.
Before I type too many words let me put a picture of Addy before you scroll down to type your complaint comment. This is her new cheese face as if to dare you to ask how she knocked her tooth back into her gums.
I won’t go into details about the camera’s features because honestly I don’t know them all I just said I just bought it gosh. A few months ago a dealer let me hold one and it was a horrible mistake and I knew I needed it. Yes it sounds like drugs but I was at the Camera Exchange and they are enablers. Just like everyone else with a photography addiction.
However, I was smart about it and all of my lenses I have purchased will fit on this camera. Don’t be ridiculous and think this means I don’t need a new lens. I have one I need to rent for upcoming events. #sorrynotsorry Brownlee. But I am getting by and the same lenses produce totally different effects with the new camera body. So that will keep me busy. For now.

Honestly I don’t know. But I did upload some stuff on the Portfolio section up on the Eight Two Photography tab up there. Except don’t check the Project 365. I’ve been taking pictures I just haven’t uploaded them since before the wedding.
I have also recently become obsessed with taking a perfect shot of a mushroom. And it’s raining all week! But how would a homeowner feel to see a mom car pull over on the side of the road and hop out the car and lay down in their lawn to get a shot of a toadstool? I’m asking for a friend.
We have crappy mushrooms in our complex. Usually they have burnt to a crisp in the afternoon. #firstworldproblems . This is what i got so far :S
I will not settle for these subpar mushroom shots.
But then I took this.
Could I have taken it with my other camera? The world may never know. Cause i’m not gonna try. Cause why would i re-shoot this?

First off, thanks so much for my pic of Addy from your 8/27 Wordless Wednesday. Phenomenal! Secondly, you should DEFINITELY enter any and every photography contest and pay for that Canon 6D with your winnings. Thirdly, we have a lot of big mushrooms in our neighborhood (side note: your dad is so proud that we don't have any), and I saw a gigantic one on the corner lot. I'm sure this torrential rain will bring more bazooka mushrooms for you to shoot. LOL!
