Pictures and Words on a Wednesday 04.09.14

I interrupt your regularly scheduled Wordless Wednesday with words.  I rented an 85mm again this weekend in the hopes of taking my allergy ridden child into some random field of wildflower because, Texas.  But then the rain picked up on my plans and tricked me with threats on Saturday then Sunday it was total crap weather and now I have the lens til Friday and doubt we can just go out and take Bluebonnet pictures.

I have come to the realization that I just absolutely need to have this lens in my life.  I want to make it official.  I’ve only rented it twice but the pictures come out so great.  (previous rental was Thanksgiving for Christmas pics).  Anyway I had been wanting to shoot some deep black black&white pictures and I wanted some Marla Singer smoke pictures soooooo I beggsked Gabby and Brownlee to let me take pictures of them.

also, as a side note, while Googling “Marla Singer”, i came across A LOT of tattoos of this picture.  Not that having a Fight Club tattoo is crazy. just, i wonder how Helena Bonham Carter feels about that. she probably loves it.  although it’s not that much different of her as any other movie she’s been in.

And then I realized that I can not be a professional becuase I don’t care what kind of pictures people want, I only want to take the pictures I want to take. Deep black black and white Marla singer pictures!  This week anyway.  And if by some stroke of boredom or windfall of sweet moolah I am taking photos of people for funds in the future, don’t be a dick and reference this blog post.

Oh, but I did buy a 70-300 zoom lens.  It was el cheapo on Amazon and I was like “I need this for the zoo (we got a membership) and…the Honeymoon!”.  I totally should have taken the cost out of the wedding budget.
