Sit Baby Sit. Good Doll.

Addy’s Godfather got her a Cabbage Patch Kid for Christmas.  I never was into baby dolls.  I mostly had books, coloring books, activity books, salespapers, and tote bags.

No lie.  I was this cool at 3.

So I wasn’t too sure how Addy would do with a doll, but since she got the gift, I didn’t have to worry about it.  She opened up the box and once we untied the CPK, (Sashay) Shantay, Addy was mostly concerned with putting her shoes on.  I was concerned with why she smelled like baby powder and what on earth was I supposed to do to stop that hair from getting matted.

I took Addy to Target to get some stuff with her Christmas gift cards.  I figured we could get some new outfits for the CPK so she wouldn’t have to be in Christmas clothes all her life.  I don’t really know what accessories are available for baby dolls.  Apparently there are tons.  Cribs.  Carriers.  No CPK outfits.  I refuse to go to Toys R Us, so I will just have to try Target after Target until I find some.

But we did come across a baby stroller.  It’s basically the exact same type of stroller moms used in the 80s, thus causing my poor posture.  Addy loves her stroller and mostly wants to buckle and unbuckle the seat.  If it’s still set up she will crawl into it and watch TV.  So I figured this would be the thing to get her to play with her baby!

Boy did it work.  20130102-IMG_1658 20130102-IMG_1686

And I was like “hey Addy buckle the baby in!”

But then the baby sort of got in the way of the fun of the buckle

Or the general fun of the stroller itself

Poor baby.

I had to braid the hair

But she did pick back up with (Sashay) Shantay today (hey hey) and the stroller.  I’ve only had to pluck her out of it 6 times.  She also found out it folded so I’ve had to “GET IT OUT” 10 times since then but whatever.
