BreWrites.com turns 1 this Saturday.
I’m excited. It coincides perfectly with the Houston Blogger Symposium. All I wanted to do was have a place to blog about the kid, and real life, and post some stuff I write. I’ve been doing it. It’s worth the few bucks I put up to have it. WOO!
I have a nice giveaway lined up later this week so stick around. 🙂
I also turn 30 in a month (10/9). Am I excited? Meh. I’m not a birthday person. It doesn’t even show up on my Facebook profile. I don’t demand a month long celebration or anything like that. It’s cool that people do, but my tolerance level for doing things isn’t that high. Despite people demanding I “must” do something, I think I’m just gonna do some casual dinner (read: no gratuity) and then drinks.
BUT I have started to pin birthday gifts LIKE A CHAMP. If the term “pin” is foreign to you, it means I have a virtual corkboard chock full of stuff I want and openly visible to everyone. (My Pinterest Boards)
In the spirit of doing things though, I am leaning towards just being with friends and stuff and having a good time, not just asking for gifts. Generally I try to give people real gifts because it’s the thought that counts and going to the store after Christmas or your birthday is a pain in the butt. Even with online shopping, you still just want to have a real thing to open. Not that I’m against gift cards (coughAmazon/Starbucks/Gapcough) but you get the point. I’m open to things that people want to give me.

Happy Blogabirthdayversery! I think my blog is like 7? Or something like that. Kinda. It's old. My birthday is ALSO next month as well. I need to work on my birthday wishlist too. There is a halloween style 5k the evening of my birthday and I'm thinking I'm going to run that. Then afterwards I don't know. I'm not big on celebrating. It seems to be all the same to me these days.

Happy Blogaversary!!! I can't believe it's already been a year…seriously. Seems like way longer…in a really great way. 🙂 I'm glad you finally decided to do something AND that you're giving gift ideas…this'll make my life so much easier. And to answer one of your questions…hell yeah! (I'm a birthday person) I dont understand you and your kind…birthdays are OSM…especially when you have tons of friends (like you). Yay for drinks. 🙂
